PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The candidate must be able to work safely. Participation safety activities including training, 5S, LOTO, and auditing is required. The person in this role must actively support an injury-free workplace. This position will be on C shift..Must be able to troubleshoot, adjust, modify, or create PLC programs as needed..Directly support development and implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system..Troubleshoot and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on all facility and production equipment..Using wiring diagrams, sketches and drawings, install AC motors, wire, conduit, cable, transformers, electronic controls, power circuits, switches, generators and other miscellaneous hardware.•All electrical installations to meet NEC standards and local requirements.•Repair and adjust regulating and control equipment.•Test and calibrate instruments to meet established standards.•Inspect, clean and maintain AC motors.•Layout, assemble, install, and test electronic fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in alarm, communication, light and power systems on production building and facilities equipment.•Troubleshoot and correct problems with programmable controllers.•Report deviations from standard conditions to Maintenance Manager.•Assume leadership responsibility on a situational basis.•Communicate openly and appropriately with coworkers, customers and other parties.•Actively support continuous improvement activities including TPM, 5S, and Six Sigma projects.•Comply with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and industrial regulations.•Overtime required.
High School Diploma or GED..Minimum 3 years of hands on PLC experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment.•Minimum 3-5 years industrial factory electrician’s experience.•Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.•Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (Including AC drives, mechanical drive components, PLC's, and motor controls).•Previous experience with programmable controllers and microprocessors.•Previous experience with CMMS system (MP2 and Mainsaver experience preferred).•Previous experience with TPM, CFM, 5S, and Six Sigma a plus.•Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.•Working knowledge of methods and procedures used in performing evaluations on all electrical apparatus using volt meters, amp meters, meggers, temperature gauges, etc.•Must have good interpersonal skills.•Must possess mechanical troubleshooting aptitude and ability.•Must be able to work without supervision.•Must have basic computer skills.
