Job Description

We are currently seeking a Plant Financial Analyst needed to provide financial and accounting support for Performance Tapes and Medical Solutions coating and finishing plants in Painesville and Mentor, OH. We are targeting a finance professional with a strong interest in manufacturing finance to serve as a key business partner to our operations and engineering teams.

  • Provide analytical and accounting support to month-end closing process and ensure ongoing integrity of balance sheet and income statement accounts. Analyze and monitor losses, inventory and fixed asset activity.

  • Perform monthly site balance sheet reconciliation and support efforts for periodic balance sheet reviews with management.

  • Act as leader in maintaining and improving internal controls relating to local accounting and information systems. Support plant compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control processes and documentation requirements.

  • Utilize ELS (Enterprise Lean Sigma) fundamentals on plant floor and finance/accounting activities to identify areas of needed improvement and act as a liaison with the Operations team to make needed process changes.

  • Deliver on forecast accuracy goals, modeling key operational costs and engaging the business owners.

  • Assume key support role in annual planning process including administration, preparation, analysis and presentation especially for inventory, scrap, and material cost.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting required.

  • 3-5 years of Accounting/Finance experience required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Deep understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

  • Self-starter with energy and a results-orientation.

  • High level of dedication to teamwork in a strong environment.

  • Seek for continuous improvement.

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in PC skills (Excel, Access and querying tools). Knowledge of Oracle and/or MfgPro a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
