Job Description

The Line Operator has responsibility for functions occurring within the coating department. You may be assigned to duties that include leading machine set-ups and changeovers, problem-solving, coordinating PM's, and making decisions on machine adjustments. This role is 6A-6P, Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday.

$19.50 per hour + $3 shift differential

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load raw material into the machine and unload the finished product.

  • Determine and control the machine cycle varying and modifying as necessary.

  • Perform tests and check products routinely using standard measuring devices 

  • Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.

  • Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.

  • Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.

  • Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.

  • Adjust setup and process operations accordingly. 

  • Perform duties to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.

  • Perform 5S duties and audits.

  • Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.

  • Participate in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience. 

  • Willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests. 

  • Able to obtain Lift Truck Operator’s license.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
