Avery Dennison is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join the Service, Materials and Logistics team in Oak Harbor, OH. As an Inventory Specialist, you will monitor the accuracy of all inventory records for our overlaminate facilities in Oak Harbor, Oak Creek, Atlanta and Vancouver, to ensure profitability.
Analyze Inventory processes, levels and procedures and help identify and / or lead projects or process changes that will eliminate non-value added activities and create or improve processes that add value to our customers
Monitor and solve daily inventory issues.
Monitor inventory performance and lead improvement efforts to exceed the company’s operational targets.
Provide functional support in inventory management.
Initiate actions to simplify inventory related processes
Be a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements
Lead and/or develop initiatives to balance all inventories, raw, WIP and Finished goods
Monitor all inventories to ensure discrepancies are at a minimal level according to the company’s metrics.
Correct and educate facilities on the proper paperwork needed to ensure good inventory
Communicate problems and solutions to other departments to ensure efficient processes.
Promote safety as the most important value in the organization.
- High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, process or related business
Substantial, relevant experience in inventory control and continuous improvement preferred
Experience with Epicor ERP System is preferred
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills, i.e. ability to listen, comprehend customer opportunities and articulate solutions.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Experience with various business software systems including all Microsoft Office applications.
Proven leadership skills – able to influence and motivate others

Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities. Project Engineering and AutoCAD experience is a plus.
