Job Description

To assist in the efficient processing of customer orders in a professional manner to meet the quality standards and specifications of our customers with maximum quality service, safety and productivity.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Work directly with other employees to maintain a safe, professional, confidential and productive operation.

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards external and internal customers at all times.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers by communication through various channels.

  • Take customer orders/information in a courteous, accurate and professional manner.

  • Input order information into the system for processing in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Check with accounting personnel on credit hold customers.

  • Compile all shipping paperwork necessary for completion of daily shipments.

  • Flexibility to handle administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.

  • Notify designated personnel of customer changes such as name, address, contact, credit, price discrepancies, etc.

  • Provide correct information to incoming customers order status and product information requests.

  • Gather details and submit customer complaints to the designated personnel for processing.

  • Provide Sales and Marketing support as needed to meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • Perform any other additional duties assigned or as required to maintain a smooth efficient operation.

Qualifications

  • Oral and written English literate

  • High School graduate, GED equivalent or related life experience

  • Good math, keyboard and phone skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Problem solving skills and decision-making abilities under pressure

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Willingness to support and assist other team members

  • Ability to learn quickly and move on from both success and failure.

  • Maintain a positive attitude, even when faced with misplaced criticism or frustration.
