The Account Representative is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship and providing service level excellence within designated accounts. The Account Representative works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure service level commitments are met/exceeded, expectations are clearly outlined, defined, and delivered by all parties working within the designated accounts. The Account Representative clearly understands the needs of the customers and provides solutions that exceed their expectations.
Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Partner with team members on developing opportunities to drive key initiatives that increase revenue by achieving sales objectives in existing and new accounts
With the support of the Regional Commercial Lead, create and manage account strategies within designated accounts and product categories to develop opportunities that drive key initiatives and achieve sales objectives
With the support of the Regional Commercial lead, utilize global account management processes to plan and execute on key account strategies and initiatives
Leverage strong customer relationships and regular communication in pursuing customer opportunities
Act as the customer’s primary point of contact for coordinating global account needs within the designated product category subset
Effectively manage product development process from customer briefing to artwork development, costing/pricing, sampling, and final approval
Guide customers to the greatest value solution for their branding needs by gathering product specifications for new programs, or redesigns of existing programs, and re-engineering options to meet target prices
Prepare global price proposals using established tools and guidelines and escalate price approval in competitive situations
Bachelor’s Degree required. Business or Marketing degree preferred
2+ years practical sales experience with quota responsibility, market development, account planning, customer engagement, etc.
Significant experience in apparel development and/or manufacturing preferred
Large retailer/brand experience required
Demonstrated successful experience in a sales position that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management positions or similar experience
Skilled in developing sales penetration and growth strategies at targeted accounts
Excellent financial skills and business acumen
Skilled in utilizing Google & Microsoft Software products
Able to work independently with little supervision
Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues
Ability to work with cross-functional teams sitting in other parts of the world
