The Systems Integration Consultant is responsible for systems support of Avery Dennison’s solutions related to the Label Printer Applicator, Price Management, RFID and RFID audit solutions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Provide quotes and technical support and training to indirect and direct sales associates, services professionals and customers in integrating label printer applicator solutions with both RFID and conventional bar code systems product offerings.
Provide an accurate assessment of systems design, proof of concept, pilots and implementation of customer price management solutions.
Analyze systems to identify root cause(s) and corrective action(s) that will resolve critical Customer issues and ensure a successful implementation.
Consults with Avery Dennison Engineering staff or with vendors (Novexx) as needed to resolve questions or issues with product suitability, software compatibility, etc.
Develop Systems procedures/manuals and required training materials for RFID/ASDC and standard systems implementations to include and not limited to the ADILT, HDRC and under mount reader solution.
Build alliances with key integrators and software providers to build Avery Dennison’s systems integration consultative partner base.Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies such as RFID, as well as competitive and systems hardware/software products.
Provide feedback to the RFID Team, Service Management, Sales Management, Product Line Managers, Marketing personnel and associates on all Avery Dennison bar code, RFID and OEM and competitive products as they relate to the marketplace.
Engage in active participation with the hardware and software user community, which could include attendance as a representative of Avery Dennison trade shows to better understand and communicate the RFID network and how our products need to integrate.
Assist with new hire sales training programs.
Provide support to PSD in achieving annual revenue and profit goals.Maintain and promote teamwork throughout the Systems Integration team, PSD and Avery Dennison by supporting company philosophy, strategies, GPS process and 4 for 4 guiding principles.
Proactively test, analyze, and communicate results of various products in order to provide consultative support to our sales force and customer base as part of a solutions sale.
Generate billable Professional Services Revenues.Will work from your home office with the ability to travel to customer locations.
Present the customer a positive image of professionalism and expertise regarding self and the company to maintain and increase customer confidence in, as well as loyalty to, Avery Dennison.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
Possess an understanding of design and sales methodology and proven ability to analyze, document, specify and provide assistance in sales cycle or its equivalent.
Be able to provide presale, installation and post-sales support on the various products offered by the company.
Proven skills to prepare accurate functional software specifications and/or site surveys in relation to the critical components of a complete system (i.e. applications, communications, etc.).
When appropriate, take the lead position in this area.High level of project management, planning/ prioritizing workloads in a constantly changing business and/or sales environments; high flexibility and capability to function independently with minimal supervision to achieve results.
Willingness to learn information through "on the job" experiences as well as by participation in a company sponsored training program.
Possess an ability to effectively interface with all levels of the end user environment (i.e. users, management, and executive management) as necessary.
Strong listening skills, sensitivity, and openness to others’ concerns, issues, ideas.
Sound judgment on being proactive taking actions or escalating issues on a timely basis.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel and at times on short notice.
Be able to develop end user documentation when appropriate and train end users on systems functionality.
Ability to respond to RFI's and RFP's. Work well with the sales organization to ensure offerings (Avery Dennison and OEM’s/partners i.e.Novexx) are properly explained.
Ability to develop accurate and thorough application specifications and quotes.
Must be capable of overnight travel for two or more days a week.
4-year degree in computer science and/or 5+ years relevant experience with an in-depth knowledge in one or more of these five areas (Windows Environment; LAN/WAN NT; TCP/IP; Coding, RFID).
This experience must also include 5 years working on various aspects of label printer applicator solution, RFID and Bar Code systems projects and implementing them accordingly, as well as at least 2 years in development and/or sales customer support engineering for wireless systems within the retail supply chain markets.
