Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Follow all Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements including leading Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR’s) and Management of Change (MOC’s) for new processes and equipment.
Develop and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
Lead training for operation and maintenance departments on new processes and equipment.
Lead continuous improvement efforts through process based solutions and small capital projects.
Provide technical support on process and production issues as needed.
Become a technical leader on polymerization
Support day to day operations in the production environment and work with other staff to identify, select, prioritize and execute process improvement projects.
Provide general troubleshooting, engineering, maintenance, equipment and daily process assistance to our manufacturing line.
Continually improve & optimize current products through variation reduction.
Investigating manufacturing problems and collaborating with production teams, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to assess their effectiveness.
Creating, refining, educating and implementing standard work.
Use lean six sigma to eliminate waste, improve material flow, and streamline processes.
Assisting and improving the controls, equipment, and maintenance practices used to run the operations.
Lead capital projects related to equipment installations, modifications, or upgrades.
Support new product development and product design within technical teams.
BS Degree in Chemical engineering (or equivalent) required.
Strong problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong PC skills including Google Suite and MS Office; AutoCAD experience a plus.
Ability to work at a self-directed, efficient pace and possess a high level of energy and initiative.
