Under minimal supervision incumbent performs assembly, build and rebuild operations, quality inspections and packs per verbal and written instructions. Assembly, building and rebuilding operations include the product lines of all intelligent Hand-Helds, Portable/wearable/tabletop and Post Print including wiring harnesses and PC boards.
Builds electro/mechanical sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, rebuilds complete machines, assembles PC boards, and reworks PC board assemblies.
Performs quality inspection testing on sub-assemblies, PC boards, harnesses and complete machines.
Performs electrical and mechanical adjustments using VOM.
Moves stock to and from work area.
Reviews routings and prints for accuracy.
Troubleshoots to modules level.
Packs complete machines for shipment per specifications.
Accurately maintains, completes and reports production related data via PC using various PC programs and/or handwritten documentation.
As a member of a production support team; trains, assists and supports other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals. Continuously reviews current processes and searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.
Performs general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assists other areas as required.
Based on business need, assists/supports in other job functions within process or other company processes within scope and ability.
High School diploma or the equivalent.
One year assembly experience.
Must have demonstrated ability to use a VOM.
Must have good vision, manual dexterity, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Demonstrated proficiency in performing basic math calculations.
Must have good initiative, judgement and decision making ability.
Must be able to tolerate oils, greases, and solvents.
Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions; Assembly Prints, Wiring Diagrams, Specification/Process Manuals, and Routings.
Must have legible handwriting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and on occasion 110 lbs. With mechanical assistance or the help of another employee.
Must be able to continuously stand or sit and stretch and reach.
Must be safety conscious.
Must be able to identify component types and classification within training period.
Must be able to learn and utilize department mainframe/PC programs within training period.
