Job Description

Avery Dennison's RFID Platform Team is looking for a high energy Process Engineer, results driven and willing to contribute in making our RFID manufacturing processes faster, simpler and more competitive. This person will be responsible for detecting opportunity areas in our current Operations and define key strategic processes and solutions focused on the accelerated growth of the business.

In your role as an RFID Process Engineer, delivering on these responsibilities is critical to success:

  • Identify, design, deploy and monitor key projects to make the RFID division grow in a fast pace, as demanded by the business growth for RFID new segments

  • Provides on-site support to our Miamisburg facility in order to guarantee our expected performance (KPI's) are being achieved

  • Identify, develop and deploy Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures across all global RFID sites

  • Identify opportunities driven by data and justify potential projects by creating clear executive summaries and business cases showing the impact/benefits of the proposals

  • Conceptualize, design and deploy creative and innovative solutions to critical challenges in Operations, working if needed with internal or external software and hardware developers.

  • Create clear and measurable acceptance protocols for new machinery and lead the Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT, SAT)

  • Lead new machinery Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT, SAT)… Providing a complete report to all parties involved and clearly handing off to Operations

  • Create clear project plans for cross-functional teams and take accountability for completing projects on-time.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at various levels within the organization and from different regions / cultures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience/exposure to web-based converting equipment (Engineering, Operations or Maintenance)

  • High level of mechanical engineering skills are required to identify opportunities and come up with effective solutions and proposals

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills are critical for this role. Thinking "out of the box" and proactively proposing solutions to key challenges

  • Must be capable of managing more than 3 projects simultaneously

  • Strong statistical analysis skills and data driven. Key decisions must be taken based on data (scientific method)

  • Capable of creating executive summaries to be presented to leadership levels in the organization

  • Highly focused on results, willing to work under pressure and constantly motivated by challenges

  • Capable of working in cross functional teams as well as leading teams of people involved in projects

  • Computer aided design software knowledge preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline strongly preferred

  • Flexibility to travel internationally as much as 50% of the time, depending on business needs
