The Quality Technician follows prescribed procedures and performs a variety of tasks in the Operations Supplies area. This position will be on second or third shift.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Performs analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.
Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product.
Records statistical data. Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
Makes recommendations to modify existing, or suggests new, standards, methods and procedures.
Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to standards of product.
Makes and records observations; performs calculations, analyzes data and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
Interpret analytical results, draw conclusions and theories, and communicate the impact of product performance. Interpret and analyze data to provide conclusions and recommendations for product development, problem solving, and continuous product improvement.
Practice all health and safety procedures, policies and practices.
Practice excellent housekeeping. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Understands and implements ISO procedures.
Assist in maintaining ISO certification through managing and coordinating equipment calibrations and maintenance contracts.
Attend all required safety training.
Participate in or lead safety initiatives.
High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree or Technical Certification a plus.
ASQ Certification a plus
3 - 5 years experience in quality manufacturing. .
Good scientific and engineering knowledge in supplies quality
Understanding of ISO procedures.
Understands and uses basic science principles in incorporating new techniques. Proficiency with various types of procedures and equipment.
Skilled in using effective project planning and implementation methods to achieve goals.
Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good verbal and written skills.
Knowledgeable on how to make accurate engineering computations.
Skilled in interfacing effectively with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
