The Quality Engineer - Process Specialist will support to manufacturing by providing feedback on the quality of the product and providing clear and concise quality procedures. This role will be responsible for non conformance investigation, Corrective Action investigation and implementation. Communicating with customer service or directly with customers as required in order to understand their application and their non conformance issue. Will need to collect, analyze and report out data related to quality metrics such as audits, COPQ, scrap and FPY (ect.). Drive a culture of continuous improvement and world class quality.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devices and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Conducts quality assurance tests and performance statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products, or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
Understands and implements ISO 9000 procedures.
Assist in maintaining ISO certification through managing and coordinating equipment calibrations and maintenance contracts.
Attend all required safety training.
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering preferred.
ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or other certification preferred.
5+ years of manufacturing experience.
Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and Google Apps (mail, docs, sheets, slides, forms)
Knowledgeable in Oracle ERP system
Good Math and analytical skills.
Good verbal and written skills
Good organization and attention to detail
General scientific and engineering knowledge
Ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
Familiarity in process documentation and improvement
