Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join its dynamic and fast-paced Printer Solutions Division, specifically focused on driving PSD events and the organization’s print catalog.

The Marketing Specialist will support the North American commercial and innovation organizations by shaping and executing event strategies, developing and executing the print catalog and delivering sales tools to support various market segments for the Printer Solutions Division. This role is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, driven individual looking to play a role in the PSD organization driving critical foundational marketing activities like events and catalog, with opportunity for growth.

About Your Responsibilities

  • Lead event planning in collaboration with Commercial and Innovation organizations, ensuring execution within budget. Event oversight will include: Planning (trade show registration and team logistics, vendor relationship management and product management), Promotions (website, partnerships, trade show advertising), On-the-ground event management and attendance (where appropriate), Post-show analysis and reporting (as required).

  • Lead catalog development to include: writing editorial and promotional content, vendor relationship management, creative design process, stakeholder review and alignment, mailing lists and catalog production according to schedule.

  • Write editorial and promotional content for the PSD print catalog, ensuring strategic and executional alignment with similar ecommerce campaigns

  • Assist in maintaining and developing the customer database to drive direct marketing opportunities.

  • Fulfill sales portal requests for print and email marketing.

  • Support and execute marketing plans across retail, food, and fulfillment markets, ensuring integration with overall business and marketing and communications strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minimum of 4+ years experience in marketing and communications.

  • Prior event-management experience.

  • Prior catalog/print-publication experience a plus.

  • Experience and success driving multiple complex, detailed projects simultaneously.

  • Proven record of attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency and follow through.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications and organizational skills.

  • A self-starter, with experience working effectively across diverse cultures, operating structures, and geographies.

  • Hands on, solutions-oriented, positive, out-of-the-box thinker with a strong commitment to strive for organizational success.

  • Excellent writing and editing ability, with the ability to create content which is uniquely appropriate as required across email, print, digital and social platforms; journalism, copywriting background a plus.

  • Ability and willingness to travel globally.
