Job Description

As Director of Business Development for Food, you will develop the sales strategy and go to market plans for food solutions offered by PSD North America. Your role will heavily focus on the ability to create a path for PSD to be a strong solution provider with focus on the ability to add hardware, software and services to our strong consumables and RFID portfolio. This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to drive strategic, long-term sustainable growth.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the definition, strategy and implementation of the go to market strategy for PSD as a total food solution provider for QSR, Grocery, Convenience and the food supply chain

• Lead development of the portfolio required to deliver on full inventory, traceability and convenience food offerings, with particular focus on hardware and software capabilities

• Work with customers to develop the business case, solution, pilot and rollout of key food technologies with a focus on RFID and intelligent labeling

• Build internal business plan for hardware and software sales associated with RFID adoption in key use cases, including strategy around partner, build or buy

• Define performance measures and reporting requirements, working individually or in a larger project group, to evaluate effectiveness of GTM models, programs and initiatives.

• Develop scalability initiatives to drive speed and success of wide scale technology adoption across the Freshmarx platform

• Partner with market development in other areas and divisions to provide voice of the market feedback into the innovation and strategy pipeline

• Lead cross functional projects focused on next generation market offerings needed to drive leadership in technology across the food industry with focus on key customer challenges like waste reduction and labor efficiency

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE TEAM:

Avery Dennison has a long history of being a market leader. Your history is important to us. It should include:

• BS/BA degree required

• 15+ years progressive professional experience, RFID background preferred

• Business development of technology in new segments / markets

• Experience leading various customer stakeholders from test to full adoption across multiple technology elements

• RFID and AIDC business development experience preferred

• Proven success in complex selling environments

• Ability to analyze business processes and to recommend and implement appropriate solution elements and show path to adoption and scale

• Comfort level in facilitating and leading projects that are cross functional in scope

• Ability to develop working relationships and influence across all areas of the organization (including sales, market development, operations, finance, marketing).
