Job Description

Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in implementing outstanding recruiting strategies for high volume recruitment? Would you like to be part of a highly-collaborative team that provides hiring support for a leader in the pressure-sensitive label industry? If so, consider joining Avery Dennison’s North American Talent Acquisition Team! We are hiring a Recruiter to lead full lifecycle recruitment for high volume roles specifically for non-exempt, hourly positions. These roles will support our manufacturing plants, distribution centers and office sites in North America. The ideal candidate should be a dedicated and highly-engaged teammate who can partner with Human Resources and Hiring Teams across North America. In addition to leading hourly recruitment efforts, this role will have a focus on supporting our Diversity & Inclusion efforts by implementing related best practices throughout each step of the non-exempt recruiting process!

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for hourly positions including: requisition posting, sourcing and phone screening, providing guidance on the selection of candidates, process offers and pre-employment steps, as required

  • Utilize our applicant tracking system (ATS), the Google Platform, and internet sourcing tools to creatively fill open positions

  • Partner with the North American Human Resources team to plan for hiring needs, build recruitment strategies and continuously improve hiring processes

  • Benchmark and enhance recruiting processes to ensure an outstanding applicant experience

  • Lead projects and training sessions that improve standard work

  • Influence with data - understand talent needs and analyze hiring trends for sites and functions

  • Drive action and deliver ongoing progress updates to stakeholders

  • Ensure a positive candidate and hiring team experience by providing timely feedback and consistent communication throughout the process

  • Establish proactive recruitment strategies that will enable us to develop a pipeline of future talent

  • Perform administrative tasks associated with the role

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Sourcing, HR and/or recruiting certifications in conjunction with recruiting experience will also be considered

  • 3+ years of experience in full lifecycle recruiting with a minimum of 1+ years in high volume recruitment experience is required

  • Exceptional organizational skills; proven ability to track, report and present progress to business leaders and internal customers is required

  • Experience using an ATS

  • Knowledge of OFCCP & EEO guidelines

  • Experience benchmarking, researching and implementing best practices

  • Able to independently make decisions, pivot on the fly when priorities shift, and know when to ask for help

  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with an ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels


  • AIRS Recruiting or Sourcing Certification(s)

  • Multi-site and/or regional recruiting experience

  • Previous experience organizing, advertising and leading virtual or on-site recruiting events for manufacturing, sales, customer service, or related roles

Location: Mentor, OH, preferred, or must be willing to travel 10-20%
