We are currently looking for a current student interested in a summer internship with Avery Dennison’s North American Talent Acquisition (TA) team. The North American TA team consists of a diverse set of individuals focused on exempt and non-exempt recruitment, recruiting operations, early career recruitment and development, and diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for completing several projects over the course of the summer to support areas such as non-exempt (hourly) recruitment, D&I, and early career programs. You will be located at our offices in Mentor, OH, and be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced learning environment. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for collaboration, project management, and be comfortable working almost entirely in Google Suite of products.
The internship will be a 12-week summer, temporary opportunity that will begin in early-June and complete in late-August/early-September.
Lead a program to research, develop and propose a Maintenance technician development program in hopes of improving recruitment opportunities in this field
Meet with internal stakeholders to gather Voice of Customer and understand business needs for the maintenance technical program
Conduct external research and benchmarking of non-exempt recruitment processes at similar companies, both locally and nationally
Present findings of research to Talent Acquisition team along with recommendations for future improvements
Research trends in Operations recruitment for functions such as Engineering, Operations Management, Quality, EH&S, and related groups
Conduct outreach of potential Leadership Development Program candidates in preparation of fall campus recruitment
Utilize LinkedIn and Google Drive to store and track potential target candidates for development programs
Research veteran and transitioning military recruitment vendors and offerings
Contact similar, local companies and benchmark military/veteran recruitment programs
Research community recruitment outreach partners for Avery Dennison locations outside of Northeast Ohio
Present to North American Leadership Team at conclusion of internship on projects and recommendations for improvement
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Management, Communications or related field.
You must have experience and a high level of proficiency in using Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, and Drive: Sheets, Slides, and Docs)
Previous internship experience preferred, but not required.
Candidate must be currently located, or willing to relocate to the Mentor, OH area.
Up to 10% domestic travel may be required
