We’re seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join our Label and Graphic Materials Group in North America during the summer of 2018. You will be responsible for assisting supply chain team in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives. You will have the chance to create an impact by driving process improvement initiatives and reducing supply chain cost.
What you will be doing
The primary role and responsibility of this internship will be:
Identify and support the implementation of cost reduction, network optimization, and process improvement opportunities.
Build project plans and manage and/or support projects to completion.
Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis.
Assist/Support Supply Chain department daily.
Support supply and demand planning initiatives.
Support cross-functional teams with special projects as required.
What you will need to bring to the program
Avery Dennison has a long history of being a market leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:
Pursuing a BS in Engineering or BA Business, preferably pursuing a major in Supply Chain Management.
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Solid analytical skills and self-motivated.
Highly organized and strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate a clear project plan and drive it to completion.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Handle multiple activities at a time and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
Expert in Excel/Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Google Slides
Able to work well cross-functionally and willing to take on hands-on projects in the plants or with customers.
