We’re seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join our Label and Graphic Materials Group in North America during the summer of 2019. You will be responsible for assisting the supply chain team in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives. You will have the chance to create an impact by driving process improvement initiatives and reducing supply chain cost.What you will be doingThe primary roles and responsibilities of this internship will be:

  • Identify and support implementation of cost reduction, network optimization, and process improvement opportunities

  • Build project plans and manage and/or support projects to completion

  • Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis

  • Assist/support Supply Chain department daily

  • Support supply and demand planning initiatives

  • Support cross-functional teams with special projects as required

Qualifications

What you will need to bring to the programAvery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:Education

  • Pursuing a BS in Engineering or BA in Business, preferably pursuing a major in Supply Chain Management

Skills

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Solid analytical skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate a clear project plan and drive it to completion

  • Willingness to work in a team environment

  • Ability to handle multiple activities at a time and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks

  • Expertise in Excel/Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Google Slides

  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and take on hands-on projects in the plants or with customers
