Job Description

We are currently in search of a Sr. Financial Analyst, Pricing & Business Intelligence to support our team in our Corporate Headquarters located in Mentor, Ohio. As an integral part of this team, this role will be involved in developing and leading business intelligence tools. In addition, the role will be encouraged to provide reporting and analytical support to our North American Sales and Marketing and Finance (Commercial Finance and Pricing) organizations.

The main goal of the Sr. Financial Analyst, Pricing & Business Intelligence role is to enable efficiency in both the Commercial and Finance organizations by implementing tools to gain valuable business insight. This position will demonstrate their own technical capabilities while forming a collaborative partnership with IT to translate business needs and develop dynamic tools. Additionally, this position will focus on streamlining critical processes by focusing on standardization, automation, and self-service for both Finance and our business partners in Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as primary business partner with IT on critical projects for Pricing, becoming the primary lead on digitization.

  • Run technology projects, gather customer requirements and work together with IT into delivering the right solution for the team, including price increase management tool, pricing analytics, and other price related tools used within the department

  • Support our strategy of moving the organization up the Business Intelligence learning curve into a full self service model

  • Develop project plans, drive projects forward, and meet key achievements with the strive to finish projects on time and meet desired outcomes

  • Cross-train with LPM pricing team members to develop a balanced approach to pricing processes

  • Improve and/or develop new RFP (Request for Pricing) / rebate tool, single converter and multi-converter bid tools for the department

  • Collaborate on pricing matters with a variety of cross-functional areas across the organization, including commercial sales, marketing, technical support, information technology and finance

  • Facilitate updates and management of PriceFX and Pricing Manager data, including but not limited to standard monthly data updates, adjustments to existing pricing guidelines, and ad hoc requests

  • Establish and build upon strong, cohesive working relationships between Finance and all our collaborators in IT and the Commercial organization

  • Be an organizational change advocate by proactively guiding teams toward using all our tools and highlighting all the advantages of BI; you are the expert of our tools and understand all their potential and can provide training to all our cross functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance or a related field

  • 6+ years of Finance, Business Intelligence, or related experience

  • Experience in Project Management, both working with teams and independently

  • Skilled in proficiently using computers and related software in performing financial job tasks, specifically setting up spreadsheet formulas, linking spreadsheets, extracting data and validating new models vs existing reports

  • Affinity to analytical systems and experience using Business Intelligence technology with a Financial perspective is a must

  • Experienced in communicating complex ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and making presentations to cross-functional teams. Ability to work well with all levels of management and employees.

  • Knowledge of research methodologies. Ability to conduct research, prepare comprehensive and accurate reports and present complex financial and statistical information in a clear and succinct fashion.

  • Great teammate with good communication and collaboration skills- experience in organizational change and training is key to the role.

Additional Qualifications

Experience:

  • Strong understanding of LPM commercial structure, with good understanding of financial modeling

  • Experience in LPM commercial (finance, marketing, sales) preferred; includes solid understanding of commercial hierarchies and PLT financials

  • Strong software skills/knowledge, including Excel, Word, Access, Google platforms, SFDC, and Price FX, iQuote, Oracle BI

  • Basic understanding of accrual accounting

  • Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
