Avery Dennison is seeking a Social Media Manager to join the Graphics Solutions Team. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating, writing producing and analyzing digital content for social media and web-based channels that result in increased share, sales and profit growth to attain the business unit’s strategy goals. The candidate must be a skilled communicator who can write social copy, engage live during trade shows and events, and engage with our audience with an authentic voice. This entails becoming the expert on what is being talked about in the online ecosystem, curating customer driven content, responding and resharing customer’s posts, and joining in on relevant conversations. This role will collaborate frequently with business partners throughout the organization to champion the brand and connection to our customers. You will work with a team of passionate marketing and sales leaders and report to the Sr. Marketing Manager.
Curate, produce and post content across our social media platforms with the goal of maximizing engagement and growing our audience
Create engaging content and storytelling highlighting our customers and their work
Engage online outside of our Avery Dennison managed tools, into industry blogs and online groups
Collaborate with internal and external partners and teams to gather information to create content
Support the regional business strategy and commercial execution plan, identify and agree on actions to deliver a comprehensive social platform strategy
Collaborative instinct to work in an environment with quick turnaround time
Set critical metrics to prove growth in engagement and how it correlates to sales
Champion correct usage of graphics standards, brand and corporate guidelines on social media. Protect and promote the business brand and Avery Dennison identity
Maintain a strong eye for trends in customers and in products
Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Journalism, Marketing or a related field required.
Minimum of 4 years in Marketing Communications or Marketing management.
Experience of managing social media at past organizations a must
Exhibits excellent work ethic, strong problem solving skills, and tenacity when it comes to engagement, voice of the customer, and problem solving
A data-driven thinker with the ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment
Experience in B2B marketing communications preferred, but not required.
Measurement and reporting - demonstrate an ability to dig for data and use that data to craft actionable change in marketing communications plans. Show the ability to react quickly to response data to optimize plans.
Branding--As a brand influencer, can creatively conceive and strategize brand building, while continuing to enhance and support the brand, strengthening our value proposition across social media
Able to meet deadlines and establish clear priorities quickly – works effectively with tight deadlines and able to handle a heavy workload, and organize and handle a multitude of different tasks in parallel.
