Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking an Executive Assistant to join the Label and Graphic Materials group North America Commercial organization. This role will report to the Global VP, PACE, and NA R&D and will be responsible for supporting the NA and global LGM R&D teams that sit in North America. The successful candidate will perform advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of Avery Dennison’s organizational policies and practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and maintain principals’ correspondence , records and proactively follow up on pending matters.

  • Prepare correspondence for executive final approval.

  • Research a wide variety of complex information requests independently.

  • Maintain general and highly confidential documentation and files on a daily basis.

  • Coordinate and execute the logistics for meetings, conferences or projects from beginning to end.

  • Prepare special reports; gather, summarize, and analyze data.

  • Familiar with data systems for R&D to pull information and reports.

  • Assist or lead key processes or projects within the R&D teams.

  • Maintain calendars, schedule appointments and arrange meetings, conferences, and both domestic and international travel. Process and track expense reports.

  • Communicate widely across the organization and coordinate broader operational initiatives on behalf of the R&D executive leadership.

  • Assist key leaders with ad hoc requests.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or related higher education preferred.

  • 8+ years administrative experience preferably in support of a large group or multiple directors.

  • Experience in an international corporation and familiar with coordinating travel and meetings on a global scope.

  • Understanding of applicable computer systems - Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong research, organizational and project coordination skills.

  • Strong analytical skills. Skilled in data compilation and analysis.

  • Strong time-management and project management skills.
