Avery Dennison’s HR Analytics team seeks a Project Leader/DE& I Analyst who is efficient, collaborative and with great attention to detail. This high exposure role will support various Regional and Global DE&I efforts by working in collaboration with the members of the DE&I team and other key internal and external partners to achieve our aspirational goal to be a model of diversity and diversity in our industry.

The primary function of this critical position will be to partner and collaborate with team members to deliver DE&I data. You will be responsible for regularly collecting, analyzing and reporting highly sensitive and confidential data and drawing initial insights and findings related to our inclusion and diversity strategic priorities. This critical data is used to inform data-driven decision making and assess progress and performance towards our DE&I commitments. You will generate and present clear and compelling quarterly, annual and ad-hoc presentations, infographics and charts for senior leaders. You will conduct benchmarking of market-leading practices and participate in external surveys. Current programs, projects and analysis include: DE&I dashboard, DE&I learning/curriculum, Employee Resource Groups, Exit Survey, Inclusion Index, Flexible work solutions, Quarterly and Year -End Reporting, Next-Gen Reporting, DE&I Transparency Report. Responsibilities will also include partnering with regional DE&I leaders and councils to provide analytics and project support as needed. The reports and analysis you provide will help Avery Dennison measure its progress toward its strategic DE&I roles.

In this function you will:

  • Collect, analyze and present data related to DE&I initiatives in order to apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance.

  • Participate in cross-functional project teams

  • Seek, collect and analyze data sets to establish, monitor DE&I goals, important metrics; uncover insights within data and communicate with executive leadership and external stakeholders

  • Play an active role in all aspects of DE&I project set up, execution and monitoring including identifying issues, designing and conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations and proactively working towards implement organizational change related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Design and prepare high-impact presentations. Conduct regular analysis of DE&I metrics, identifying trends and gaps in progress. Analyze targeted and systemic opportunities that exist within the company.

  • Train HR and leaders on DE&I dashboards, reporting and provide consultative support, as needed

  • Design and plan enterprise-wide solutions based on standard methodologies and internal insights and with a continuous improvement mentality.

  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to empower and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain compliance.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or minimum 10 years of progressive work experience in a related field

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical capacity (preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, and/or data visualizations for various audiences)

  • Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion demonstrated by personal or professional experience

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present and apply metrics

  • Strong project management, time management and change management skills

  • Experience creating compelling data visualizations and preparing high-impact presentations for key stakeholders (internal and external) and senior leaders

  • Demonstrated ability to balance big picture thinking with great attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to routinely collect, track, perform detail analysis on large quantity of quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources; synthesize datasets into concrete insights to better inform operational decision-making

  • Ability to effectively lead multiple challenging projects in a fast-paced environment with change requests

  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and as an active member of multiple teams

  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.

  • Continuous/process improvement experience and growth mindset such as Six Sigma, Lean, Agile

  • Advanced computer and data visualization skills including proficiency in excel, presentation slides, PowerBI, Tableau, Google Data Studio or other data visualization and collaboration tools.

  • Experience with predictive analytics is a plus.
