WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

As a key member of the Label & Graphic Materials - North America (LGM-NA) Operations Finance Team the Operations Financial Analyst will provide analytical and financial analysis, planning and reporting services and support to the LGM-NA Operations and Supply Chain Organization. In this role you will lead the day-to-day activities in regard to the reporting, planning and analysis activities for LGM-NA divisional Total Manufacturing Expense. This will include preparing financial and business-related analyses, forecasts and research, and ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data. You will work closely with key Operations and Supply Chain Stakeholders to help establish site and divisional performance targets, lead the Weekly R&O Process, identify productivity projects and other continuous improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership:

• Provide Finance and Operations & Supply Chain Management with interpretive and predictive financial information, related primarily to Corporate Total Manufacturing Expense

• Lead the Weekly Forecast Process for Manufacturing Expenses & Losses, including the completion of required schedules/templates

• Coordinate follow-up actions identified during month-end LGM-NA Finance Close Meeting with LGM Locations and ensure these are completed timely

• Provide key insight and financials using BI reports and tools during and post ERP deployment.

• Provide Finance and Operations Management with weekly variance analysis on loss performance.

• Participate in Symphony deployment through loss data and report testing and post implementation loss issue resolution

Planning/Reporting/Analysis:

• Assist in the preparation and review of the Divisional Consolidated AOP, Quarterly Forecast & Weekly R&O Process for Total Manufacturing Expense (TME) & Scrap/Losses, including the collaboration with site and divisional operations leadership

• Lead the Weekly Forecast Process for Manufacturing Expenses & Losses, including the completion of required schedules/templates

• Collaborate with Logistics team to develop Outbound Freight Weekly R&O's, Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Operating Plan

• Evaluate key drivers and root cause(s) and provide meaningful analysis to explain Divisional TME performance and variances to target/commitments and complete monthly bridging process for TME (Flash and Bridge Meetings)

• Complete the various divisional reports at month-end and make necessary enhancements as needed (Dashboards, Inventory Adjustments, Production & Operations Scorecard)

• Lead the process of calculating Quarterly AIP payouts, collecting and consolidating exceptions and providing estimates of future payouts.

• Maintain leadership and analysis of the Scrap Data Mart tool through the end of Symphony deployment

• Identify top loss opportunities by site and reason code

• Monitor and lead resolution on daily methods and system variances

• Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of the business case(s) and associated financial justification(s) for certain capital expenditure requests that involve multiple manufacturing locations and/or divisional-based, larger capital projects

• Fulfill various ad-hoc reporting and analysis requirements, including developing BI reports, analyzing trends, and presenting results

• Work to automate the reporting capabilities where possible, leading to reduced time required to complete reports

Controllership/Compliance:

• Prepare, submit and approve all month end and quarter end close activities including JE, Divisional accruals/reclasses and cost center statements

• Perform required SOX reporting and audit activities to ensure compliance certification for logistics and divisional controls

• Ensure month end reporting for Freight is accurate which includes booking accruals/reclasses, effectively communicating issues to Accenture and ad hoc analysis

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.

Experience:

3+ years of financial and/or accounting experience with experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills Competencies:

  • 2-5 years of experience working with financial reporting tools and/or Business Intelligence reporting tools with preference given to Oracle Business Intelligence and/or Cognos

  • Provide actionable insights to the organization which leads to improved results

  • Ability to build strong relationships and rapport with Operations leadership teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines due to fluid business conditions and request

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other related software

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP & business intelligence tools preferred.

  • Demonstrated project management skills preferred.

  • Promote collaboration, desire to learn continuously and takes initiative to act on data and intuition
