We’re seeking an Operations Co-Op / Intern to join our business in North America. You will be responsible for completing an assignment focused on process controls initiatives and collaborating with the plant’s leadership team in one of our state of the art facilities. After a successful co-op/intern you will get hands-on experience in manufacturing. Our co-op and internship program serves as a talent pipeline for our Early Careers Program in Operations - Controls and throughout the organization.
We are considering individuals who are excited about working in any of the following states for their summer internship and possibly post college graduation OH, IN, PA, and GA.
We are looking for a motivated Contols Engineering Co-Op / Intern to join our team. As a controls engineering co-op you will be responsible for the design, specification, development and implementation of controls systems for various manufacturing equipment.
What you will be doing
Familiarizing yourself with various programming software platforms
Leading/Supporting projects requiring electrical and controls input
Maintaining data acquisition systems
Editing/Creating Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for operators
Assessing aging or obsolete controls equipment and proposing solutions
Reading/Updating electrical schematics
Troubleshooting issues with controls systems

What you will need to bring to the program
Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Electrical, Automation, Controls.
Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience
Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers etc.
Volunteerism or similar activities.
Ability to travel up to 40 percent of the time
