Avery Dennison is seeking a Marketing Research Analyst to join the Label and Graphic Materials North America Marketing organization. In this role you will provide analytical support to marketing strategies and will be responsible for obtaining research and drawing conclusions in order to help business leaders set strategies, implement and measure customer and market focused initiatives.
Develop an understanding of our customers’ business issues and the industries in which they operate.
Gathers, organizes, and interprets relevant industry, market and customer trends and translate them into data driven business recommendations
Conduct monthly analysis of marcom activities and design and manage the monthly Industry Insights reports.
Assist, design and/or manage research projects using qualitative and quantitative marketing research methods.
Utilize essential research design principles (pretesting, upfront analysis planning, and creating rational and achievable project plans) in the development of questionnaires and Voice of the Customer guides to ensure the necessary data is captured.
Conduct data analysis when interpreting survey data, analyzing results, and creating reports
Perform in-depth analysis on customers’ financial behaviors, e.g., sales trends, product usage, channel usage and/or pricing sensitivities.
Manage and update databases and internal research portals for the Marketing and Sales teams.
Bachelor’s degree required
2 - 5 years related experience preferred
B2B market research experience helpful
Strong communication and writing skills.
Strong analytical, research and report writing skills.
Ability to analyze data through SPSS and Excel to provide key takeaways
Experience with survey programming tools (experience with Qualtrics a plus)
Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
Possesses teamwork, leadership and facilitation skills in order to cut across many diverse functional disciplines and regional cultures.
Good presentation skills and persuasiveness.
