Job Description

This position is open to remote working arrangements. The expectation is to come onsite to an Avery Dennison location once in a while.

The HR Transactional Specialist will be the Subject Matter Expert working closely with HR, HRIS, Payroll and Benefits to provide transactional support associated with all employee & contractor life cycle system related activities. Work towards continuous improvement, standardization and simplification of HR transactional processes associated with the employee and contractor life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PeopleSoft HRMS data entry for the U.S. & Canada.

  • Develop and maintain strong relations with BU customers by adhering to service level agreements and driving continuous improvement.

  • Fulfill report requests for HR Systems.

  • Deliver training and support for end users of PeopleSoft & SilkRoad.

  • Monitor and disposition transactions related to leave administration. Work with HR, Benefits, and Payroll to resolve any issues in a timely manner.

  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to provide support for onboarding, relocation, and merit cycle.

  • Work closely with the Corporate HRIS Team/IT to make recommendations, gather requirements, and test future enhancements and improvements to the HR Systems.

  • Facilitate periodic audits of PeopleSoft HRMS data to ensure data accuracy.

  • Support documentation requirements for SOX compliance.

  • Ensure the consistency to policy and process guidelines that drive standardization and simplification.

  • Research root cause of issues and assist with resolution efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in HR

  • Associate degree preferred

  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HR System and state/federal laws associated with the HR Employee Life Cycle is desired

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, work with minimal guidance and able to work under pressure

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Enjoys working with technology as it relates to applications

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google (Mail/Drive, Sheets, Forms)
