Job Description
The Global IT Learning Manager builds organizational strength, and drives individual, team and leadership development throughout the IT organization. Developing and deploying strategy, strong execution and deep collaboration cross-functionally and across business units are key to success. This role will report to the Vice President, IT Strategy, PMO and Administration.
The Global IT Learning Manager’s primary responsibilities will include:
Drive the creation and implementation of an IT learning and development strategy, including development of individuals, teams and leaders.
Leadership of the IT Academy program and roadmap.
Develop a global curriculum by technical field to provide targeted learning for all IT professional employees around the world. Determine design, content, staging, and delivery through learning paths. Identify associated certifications for job families in each IT sub-function, as appropriate.
Develop the business case for related investments in L&OD tools, resources and content providers.
Identify and curate a combination of internal and external resources for functional/ technical proficiency development along with external talent, tools and assets.
Demonstrate and use internal OD/LD talent, tools and assets for non-technical foundational and leadership development.
Determine and build external partnerships with internal and external content providers that may be used regionally and/or globally to develop, maintain and deliver the technical curriculum.
Conduct surveys to determine satisfaction with the learning program and collaborate with stakeholders to develop actions plans to improve the program.
Lead effort to respond to Employee Engagement survey results that are related to L&OD.
Support the effort to develop and implement a Diversity and Inclusion program for IT. Collaborate with global and regional D&I leaders to ensure alignment with global and regional L&OD goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field is required; master’s degree preferred
8+ years of related experience
Strong project & process and process management skills
Proven training program design, delivery, coaching and facilitation skills
Ability to learn quickly, build relationships and influence at all levels
Real passion for building technology learning and leadership programs a plus
Hands-on experience assessing and improving IT functional capability
Ability to be self managed/directed and capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner
Ability to research trends and benchmark best practices and translate them into applicable approaches for the business
Strong skills in organizational assessment, gap analysis and critical thinking
Demonstrated ability to lead change in a matrixed organization
Prior experience in comparable role at a global Fortune 500 company highly desired
Organizational design and development skills and experience a plus
The ability to travel up to 25% of the time
