Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:  

  • Work closely with the facility manager to assist and support the warehouse team with all aspects of pulling and processing orders (safely shipping a quality product while meeting/exceeding efficiency expectation of quality and on-time shipping).

  • Communicate to the facility manager any product shortages or outages, along with any other issues which may impede the on-time shipment of quality products in an efficient manner to meet/exceed customer satisfaction.

  • Lead associates with a team philosophy, promote and instill this philosophy in every facet of the merchandising services operation.

  • Teach, train and mentor associates; cross train as opportunities present themselves.

  • Ensures ALL quality control standards are being maintained.

  • Processes orders in TCM for inner-company transfers, all orders not requiring roll labels and failed EDI orders.

  • Create PO’s in TCM for all non-roll label items.

  • Receive product in TCM for all product received.

  • Schedules all courier services and in-bound freight orders from vendors.

  • Calculates all freight charges for all orders.

  • Research miss-ships, POD’s or missing product shipments.

  • Invoices all Dierbergs Store/Bakery/Kitchen orders.

  • Performs auto-transfers after invoicing.

  • Keys all manufacturing receipts and shop orders and bin to bin transfers as warehouse product is moved within the warehouse.

  • Performs weekly/monthly edit lists for warehouse production and billing.

  • Coordinates the weekly cycle counts.

  • Back up to the Inventory Warehouse Coordinator.

  • Communicates any problems or quality issues due to shipping errors to the appropriate individuals.

  • Must be able to lift or move materials with weights up to 25 pounds.

  • Keeps all work areas safe, clean and in good condition.

  • Follows any other instructions given by supervisors and/or management to complete other tasks or projects, ensuring the objectives are accomplished accurately and within the timeframe allotted.

  • Follows all policies and procedures that are outlined within the employee handbook or by the operations facility.

  • May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

  • Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.

  • Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.

     

Work Environment 

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate 

encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment.  Continuous, high to moderate levels of noise require hearing protection to be worn at all times.  To ensure the associate's safety, when working in the manufacturing environment, safety glasses and any other applicable safety equipment are required.  Exposure to chemicals, inks, and coatings requires the appropriate PPE to be worn when handling.

Qualifications

►     Key Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must have a minimum of 5-years’ experience in warehouse; specifically shipping, receiving and inventory control processes.  

  • Must have previous experience in operating a forklift and be able to achieve certification.

  • Must have previous experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP system.

  • Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
