About Your Role
The Strategic Account Manager’s role is to grow accounts that are focused on serving sports leagues and clubs with customized uniforms, fanwear, and licensed sportswear gear and apparel (t-shirts, jerseys, hoodies, hats, jackets, and accessories). Areas supported include schools (K-12), college/campus, pro sports (MBL, NBA, NFL, NHL, American Indoor Football, Canadian Cities, etc), race events (running, swimming, triathlon, cycling, etc.), state and national parks, military and government. Growth will be accomplished through analyzing the segment, capturing share, offering new products and services, and devising successful go-to-market strategies. The Strategic Account Manager clearly understands the immediate and long term needs of their customers and provides innovative solutions that exceed their expectations.
Discover and evaluate new accounts and business opportunities to deliver profitable revenue growth exceeding 40% year-over-year
Analyze the market segment from both buyer (retailer/brand) and user (manufacturing factories of retailer/brand) perspectives; develop account strategies that include elements of products, services, and solutions within 120 days of start date; execute the corresponding tactical plan
Contribute to and/or lead go-to-market strategies
Execute joint business planning and customer-focused, global initiatives as needed
Manage sales, profitability, and pipeline to target metrics; forecast and report-out
When a prospect becomes a customer, the Strategic Account Manager will continue to build and develop influential relationships at multiple levels within the customer
Collaborate with Product Line Management, Business Development, other sales teams, and sourcing regions / production sites
Lead and/or coordinate new product development and sampling activities between our customers and our internal teams
3+ years selling experience, including new business selling skills; experience with Team Sports and licensed sportswear apparel preferred
Background in manufacturing operations and supply chain preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required
Able to use SF.com and Google apps efficiently and effectively
Overnight travel estimated to be 60%
