Job Description

A Day in the Life

As a full-time Maintenance Technician in our manufacturing facility, you’ll be responsible for upkeep of the machinery by providing safe and timely mechanical and electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, and troubleshooting.

This role is a 12 hour shift from 6:00pm - 6:00am on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. 

Compensation: $29.00 per hour + $2.00 shift differential      

The main purpose of this role is to support site operations to ensure the equipment is operating at optimal capacity and producing quality products.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Locate and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, replace defective components, and perform troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, and manuals.

  • Perform routine and break down maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical equipment. Tasks can include, but are not limited to, circuit work, wiring, grounding and testing electrical equipment as well as repairing and working with motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems alarms and electrical conduit.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components on industrial equipment utilizing and reading pressure relief valves.

  • Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset to review processes and identify improvements to product/process, quality, waste reduction, rework, and unnecessary work is critical.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Industrial maintenance 3+ years preferred

  • Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics

  • Machine Repair, including welding, fabrication, and rigging

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Mathematical/mechanical/technical skills, and logical problem solving

  • Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner necessary

  • Must be motivated toward productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness
