Job Description

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and ensuring execution of all MP2/CMMS activities. The Planner ensures optimum use of manpower by prioritizing and carefully planning work that can be achieved under specific planned conditions i.e., during production run, PM-day events, and internal projects. The planner analyzes CMMS data and generates reports for the business. You will work day shift.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Activities and duties may vary dependent upon site specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate all processes related to the CMMS work order control system.

  • Analyze CMMS data to help identify equipment and/or failure mode trends.

  • Create and enter new equipment inventories into the existing CMMS system for building and utility systems, production equipment and ancillary equipment.

  • Collaborate with MRO to maintain 100% inventory accuracy of all maintenance related parts and supplies.

  • Update equipment records, review work order information and generate completion rate reports for all planned maintenance and autonomous maintenance activities.

  • Update and add autonomous maintenance tasks as required.

  • Plan work assignments for all MP2 CMMS generated tasks.

  • Schedule outside service for MP2 CMMS generated tasks..

  • Support the 5-S, housekeeping, ELS projects and recycling programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Associates degree or certified Journeyman preferred).

  • 3 yrs experience as an industrial maintenance planner

  • Experience using MP2 CMMS (Preferred).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as a role model for others and enforce adherence to all safety practices, policies and procedures.

  • Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.

  • Must have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take the initiative to understand root cause then communicate/educate team in a timely manner.

  • Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.

  • Must have a strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs.
