We are very excited to look for a part-time Visual Designer contractor to join our Corporate Communications team at Avery Dennison! In this role, you will be responsible for the design of branded communications across multiple channels for our employees worldwide. The duration of this role is approximately August to December, and the position is based in Glendale, California, with an option to work a hybrid schedule.
What you’ll do
Examples of work include designing logos, icons, presentations, email banners, posters, social images, UI elements, and updating our brand guidelines and design system. You’ll also assist in redesigning existing assets in our new brand identity.
Assist in the maintenance of brand assets
Provide design guidance to other departments
Technical skills desired
3-5 years of experience in visual design, interaction design, graphic design, or related field
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience
Experience designing presentations, social, web, email and print communications
Experience working with brand guidelines
Minimal and clean aesthetics with strong design foundations – every detail you include has a reason and adds to the story
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
An online portfolio demonstrating work across various channels and platforms
Video editing/motion graphic skills
Knowledge of UX principles
Experience working with design systems
Soft skills desired
