Job Description

As a Technical Data Analyst Contractor, you will be supporting our IT Asset Management organization (ITAM). You will be involved in multiple initiatives at any given time, with a primary responsibility for data analysis of IT hardware and software assets across the IT organization. You will be critical in supporting the strategic IT plans of the business. You will need to be able to learn quickly and independently, balancing workloads against competing demands, working flexible hours to collaborate with our US and international business divisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed analysis of software license compliance position for various software vendors

  • Provide reports to monitor and control software life-cycle management activities, including software deployment and configuration

  • Track and guide IT infrastructure teams in corrective actions as necessary related to software life-cycle management and license compliance

  • Provide insight to IT asset management team to help implement process and operational improvements

  • Assist in processing software requests from end-users

  • Analyze business processes for managing software licenses and provide input for ITAM governance rules

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years related experience with data analysis

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, or Google Sheets for data analysis

  • Use of functions such as vlookup, index match, data validation, importrange, duplicate removal, find/replace, pivot table

  • General understanding of IT system architecture

  • Ability to analyze large datasets in order to identify trends and provide clarity

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to learn software licensing models from different software vendors

  • Problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, and ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to respond to a change in priority

  • Ability to complete assigned tasks on time and practice effective time management

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s preferred, with business or information technology management focus

  • Self-starter; capable of operating with limited management involvement

  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Passionate learner and follower of industry and technical trends

  • Excellent ability to quickly learn a broad array of software licensing model and apply that knowledge to business uses
