Summary:The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for assisting with internal and external financial reportingand consolidation-related activities, including assistance in the preparation of quarterly and annualfinancial reports, and account reconciliation and analysis.RESPONSIBILITIES:● Prepare supporting documentation and analysis for portions of SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-KsProxies and Annual Reports), including preparation of footnotes and/or MD&A disclosures.● Analyze and review data submitted by divisions/business units for quarterly consolidated financialreporting, including intercompany reconciliation, account fluctuation analysis and interaction withdivisions/businesses to obtain required information.● Utilize Hyperion Financial Management system to support external and internal reportingrequirements.● Interact with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.● Assist with corporate balance sheet account reconciliations.● Interact with the external auditors and provide them supporting documentation for financialstatements and footnote disclosures, and respond to their inquiries.● Prepare government reporting and census forms.● Assist in the documentation/update of department Sarbanes-Oxley 404 processes, includingpreparation of supporting documents for SOX walkthroughs and testing.● Assist in special projects such as technical research and benchmark information gathering.
QUALIFICATIONS:● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance● 2-3 years of relevant finance experience● Public accounting experience strongly preferred● CPA or CPA candidate● Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)● Strongly preferred experience with financial software application (PeopleSoft/Hyperion)● Strong organization/time management skills● Strong analytical skills● Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment meeting deadline requirements● Excellent verbal and writing skills
