The MRO Buyer receives all inbound indirect supplies and materials through established plant processes, enters receiver information into the plant inventory control system, and date stamps and files hard copies of receivers. This position will also place orders, expedite purchases, conduct invoice reconciliation, reconcile credit card purchase statements, maintain effective vendor relations, source spot buys, sponsor cost savings initiatives, and act on behalf of the organization and follow all corporate and local financial compliance regulations.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
Establish and maintain effective vendor relationships and internal customer relations.
Processes inbound indirect supplies and materials.
Ensure availability and sourcing of maintenance and operations indirect catalog including spare parts, capital parts, consumables, and one-time spot buys.
Provide end-user training and support for plant engineering and maintenance staff pertaining to the proper use of electronic requisitioning, purchase order tracking, receiving voucher retention, and assigning costs through the plant work order database.
Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contribute and participate in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be proficient in purchasing and inventory control systems. (ARIBA and Oracle preferred).
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
Ability to process and translate technical information as it relates to purchasing replacement items.

Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment; encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.
Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, especially the use of Google Suite Applications.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent and daily basis.
Specific training/skills and/or experience in the following areas: record keeping, inventory control, receiving, and strong interpersonal skills
Previous experience operating multiple types of material handling equipment including forklifts, walk behind lifts, and manual pallet jacks.
