The Intelligent Labels Strategy Manager will responsible for supporting key strategic initiatives within Avery Dennison’s Intelligent Labels business, including RFID, and has primary responsibility for conducting market and business analysis for new business opportunities. These include supporting: the annual strategic planning process; assessing new segment, market and product opportunities, key strategic alliances and joint initiatives with partners; and new segment growth initiatives. This position will provide critical strategic and analytic support for Avery Dennison’s RFID Leadership Team.
Conduct market and competitive analysis to assess new business opportunities and Avery Dennison’s positioning.
Perform financial analysis of new business opportunities including sales and market share projections, P&L statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows, NPV and IRR calculations. Carry out sensitivity analysis to identify impact of changes in key hypotheses.
Develop strategic and tactical/business plans which effectively lead to the development of new businesses within the company.
Assess Intelligent Labels ecosystem, including trends, growth drivers, competitive dynamics and revenue and profit pools and develop strategic implications and recommendations
Create compelling presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Scan external technology environment for strategic alliances, business partners, potential joint venture partners, ideas, concepts, and support existing strategic partnership activities, such as joint business development activities and key joint projects
Lead workstreams for key strategic initiatives
Support M&A and venture investment activity
Develop RFID and Intelligent Label market forecasts and competitive intelligence
Incorporate knowledge of the industry to partner with stakeholders to develop market right products, support materials & pricing recommendations across RFID solutions.
Provide analytical support for customer ROI modelling, including innovating, updating and maintaining ROI model templates
Maintain key business financial dashboards
5+ years of related experience with similar analytical position desired, such as management consulting, corporate strategy or strategic marketing.
2+ years of post-MBA experience or equivalent
Excellent financial skills, analytical skills, and business acumen.
Excellent problem solving skills - ability to lead workstreams from start to finish
Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
Excellent research skills.
Excellent understanding of product and technical information.
Excellent written and presentation skills, including developing structured presentations
Experience in a management consulting or strategic planning role a plus.
Experience with B2B technologies a plus
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
