As the Global External Embellishment Market Development Director, you are responsible to drive sustainable & profitable growth in the External Embellishment (EE) solutions. Based on facts, you decide where to play to win from a global EE perspective. Together with the commercial and regional teams, you help devise the commercial strategy for External Embellishment for each account and region.
You lead the team of Technical Sales managers globally to execute against these agreed strategies, generating and capturing short, mid and long term opportunities.
You are an expert in the External Embellishment ecosystem understanding of the market trends, the competition, the fields of play, the consumer insights, the latest technologies as well the general macroeconomic trends.
Working closely with the rest of the business, especially the commercial and product teams, you will transform the intelligence into actionable initiatives, identifying and evaluating market opportunities that convert into new or incremental sales.
As a senior commercial leader, you are the key interface for the senior commercial organization, the regional factory sales leaders, and externally for our key customers.
As a senior EE leader, you are a key member of the EE global leadership team, helping to lead the whole organization beyond your functional responsibilities.
You support team members’ personal development and overall growth.
You build a sustainable organization that drives growth well into the future through team engagement, knowledge sharing, cross training and clear succession planning.
In collaboration with global and regional sales teams, you manage current portfolio of business globally.
You assess other key opportunities to advise where we should invest.
You identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities for assigned products leading to successful commercialization efforts.
You work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, and present compelling solutions.
You stay abreast of industry trends by attending trade shows, events and staying on top of market insights and global branding trends.
You surface new ideas, products applications and solutions to product line management and development teams.
You help craft customized go-to-market strategies for regions and individual customers.
You develop long-term business opportunities.
You develop and maintain working relationships with business partners at the customers’ organizations.
Expertise in the External Embellishment market, including trends/insights, external market drivers, customer ecosystem
Lead & manage EE Technical sales team globally
Execute against the EE commercial strategy
Work hand in hand with Commercial Directors, Regional Commercial Leaders and GMs to set targets/KSOs and implement the commercial strategy
Responsible for top and bottom line of EE ecosystem
Cooperate with Business Development Teamsport & Footwear to identify where to play next
Cooperate with Factory Sales Teams (via tech sales team)
Key wiring person with EE senior customers
Input into the EE opportunity pipeline in salesforce.com (owned by the commercial organization)

Bachelor’s degree required
12+ years related business experience, emphasizing strategy, sales, business development and marketing desired

Experience in planning and forecasting, with practical experience in researching new opportunities and implementing successful account penetration
Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner
Experience in strategic leadership and negotiation
Strong analytical skillsUnderstanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite tools and function specific software.
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
Apparel & Footwear industry relationships preferred
Frequent intercontinental travels required
