Job Description
The Account Manager East, Team Sports, is responsible for driving consistent profitable growth by achieving sales objectives within designated account(s). The Account Manager develops programs to achieve maximum sales volume consistent with sales projections. The Account Manager clearly understands the needs of the customers and provides solutions that exceed their expectations. Within the Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS) division, this position partners with accounts in the retail apparel industry to provide digital solutions, branding, (e.g. packaging, tags and labels) while building value-based partnerships with teams and leagues. This role is the key point of contact for a major team sports organization in the U.S.
The salary range for this position is $78,750 - $117,600/ year. The hiring (base salary) range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool. Your Responsibilities
Activities and duties will vary depending upon the functional area assigned and may include,but are not limited to the following:
Increase revenue by achieving sales objectives in existing and new accounts
Create and manage account strategies to deliver on sales goals to enable top-line growth and gain share, and maximize profitability
Expertise in the team sports market, including trends/insights, external market drivers, customer ecosystem
Utilize global account management processes to plan and execute on key account strategies and initiatives
Leverage strong customer relationships and regular communication in pursuing customer opportunities
Responsible and accountable for the customer survey results (NPS score) for the designated account(s)
Educate the customer(s) on the value Avery Dennison brings to their business & create a partnership to maximize this value, ensuring a focus on digital and sustainable solutions
Guide the customer(s) through our digital transformation, successfully supporting the change management of new processes with Avery Dennison
Reference in-depth knowledge of full range of Avery Dennison solutions in partnering with customers to identify ideal product options and features
Lead the coordination of product development and sampling activities between the customer and our internal teams
Act as the customer’s primary point of contact for coordinating global account needs

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
4+ years practical sales experience with quota responsibility, market development, account planning, customer engagement.
Apparel Industry relationships preferred
Team sports market experience preferred
Significant apparel industry and team sports organization experience strongly preferred.
Strong value-based and insights-driven selling skills
Understanding of sponsorship negotiations and fan/consumer engagement solutions.
Knowledge of digital solutions
Experience in team sports fan experiences beneficial
Demonstrated successful experience in a sales position that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management positions or similar experience.
Skilled in developing sales penetration and growth strategies at targeted accounts.
Excellent financial skills and business acumen.
Skilled in conducting territory analysis and planning.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
Willing to travel (20%) & navigate a flexible work environment
