Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Purchasing/Scheduling Office Coordinator for our Dallas Finishing Center located in Carrollton, Texas. You will primarily support the facility with general logistics, finishing and planning needs. This role provides a variety of support services in accordance with standard procedures to the Supply Chain, Materials Management, and/or Logistics function. The standard schedule for this role is A Shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).

Responsibilities:

  • Order Planning and Batching responsibilities as required.

  • Maintain checkbook or other required record keeping.

  • Ship and receive materials and equipment to support production and verify receipts in related computer systems (e.g. Oracle, MES, Google, etc.).

  • Perform inventory audits to verify accuracy and achieve business goals.

  • Follow internal procedures for shipping all orders, stock and non-stock, ensuring to follow first in, first out (FIFO).

  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain for same-day ship items.

  • Attending managing for daily improvement (MDI) meetings.

  • Develop requisitions for and manage records of materials and/or inventory. Determine irregularities in orders.

  • Perform order processing responsibilities and prepare purchase orders.

  • Prepare and monitor material requisitions and material schedules with production schedules. Create and generate reports on material plans and schedules.

  • Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, maintaining records and reporting on inventory, production, distribution, and/or transportation.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed, which may include, but not limited to: Load and unload trucks to inventory and racking, packing and finishing operating duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to become tow motor certified.

  • Excellent computer skills required. Knowledge of basic PC programs. Working knowledge of Google mail and applications is a plus.

  • Experience with transactional functions

  • Adaptive, flexible, and able to handle ambiguity and multi-task across multiple assignments.

  • Motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with a highly participative team-work system.

  • Willingness to learn new tools and systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Skilled in working independently in a safe and timely manner necessary.
